2. Tuntutan penceraian (Fasakh) dilakukan Nurul Izzah pada lewat Disember 2013 melalui petisyen. Namun tidak dapat dipastikan sekiranya ada pihak ketiga sebagai punca penceraian.

KUALA LUMPUR: It's confirmed that Lembah MP Nurul Izzah Anwar has filed a divorce petition against her husband, Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim at the lower Syariah Court at Jalan Duta.
A check of the court records by The Star Online showed that a divorce case exists between the PKR vice president and her husband.
Nurul, 33, has sought the divorce under Fasakh (to annul the marriage) with Raja Ahamd Shahrir Iskandar, 35, in late December through the petition.
Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar is believed to have received the petition on Jan 16.
He has asked for a two-week postponement of the proceeding for him to enable him to prepare his case.
It could not be ascertained if a third party was involved in the break up of the couple.
Court officials confirmed that their divorce case was in the system and Nurul and her husband were both parties in the suit.
They said that the case was set for mention before lower Syariah Court judge Ab Malek Awang.
Both Nurul Izzah and Raja Ahamd Shahrir Iskandar were not available for comment on the alleged divorce action.
When contacted at around 11.40am Thursday, Nurul Izzah's phone rang twice and the line was cut after which the phone was switched off.
Around noon, Nurul Izzah had tweeted that she was attending the Asli's the 16th Malaysia Strategic Outlook Conference.
Nurul Izzah and Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar were married on May 9, 2003.
The marriage ceremony was held at the residence of Nurul Izzah's father Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at Bukit Bandaraya.
The couple has a seven-year-old girl and four-year-old boy. -The Star Online
